Introduction
- As a boy, Wally would often daydream, most notably about being the Flash. He idolized the Flash and was the president and sole member of the Blue Valley Flash Fan Club.
- He had a close relationship with his aunt Iris, often referred to her as his best friend.
- He is the first Kid Flash and the third Flash.
- He is the first Legacy character to have a long successful solo book, and inspired more to come.

The Flash
- First thing is I want to note that Wally was mischaracterized by past writers, and it hurt his characterization and likability a lot. I want to give a shoutout to Messner-Loebs who had to work with that and bring back Wally to where he once was. He introduced Linda and turned Hartley into Wally’s closest friend. He did a lot of set up for Waid’s run, and its in Waid’s run where Wally got to shine again. I believe Messner-Loebs’ run is worth reading, if you want to read that please start with his run. His run starts from issue #15 of the Flash Vol 2.
- Its important to note that a lot of Flash content got collected in books which makes it easier to get into them, so please read everything before Waid’s run, then its easier to read in book format.
